Our mission

FAKT undertakes to educate and raise awareness of French -speaking African youth in the face of the disturbing rise in disinformation. We defend access to verified and quality information, essential to the development of an enlightened and resilient company.

Our history

During my studies, I met Félicité and Mark, friends and partners of this adventure, both of African origin. Together, we have identified a major problem: difficult access to reliable information exacerbated by the development of social networks. The youth, often in a hurry, falls into the trap of cognitive shortcuts, thus becoming an easy target for manipulation of information.

Our values

Hosted by an unshakable passion for ethics, ethics, integrity and truth, we devote a good part of our time and our skills to fight against this scourge. Our curiosity and our commitment to social networks allow us to identify and counter the mechanisms of disinformation.

  • Disinformation : decipher the misinformation mechanisms and teach how to protect them effectively.
  • Freedom of the press: to move a free and independent press, fundamental pillar of all democracy.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) : demystify the opportunities and threats of AI, in particular its role in the spread and detection of disinformation.

We offer tips, advice and share essential tools to develop a critical mind in the face of information circulating on social networks. Our blog is regularly updated with striking articles on digital, news, AI, press freedom and disinformation. By focusing on the specific problems of disinformation in Africa, we aim to provide young people with the skills necessary to navigate a complex and often deceptive media environment.

Originally from various African countries and endowed with various skills, we are a team made up of passionate journalists, communication experts, community manager and project managers, all driven by a common vision: strengthening the ability of young people to discern the true of the false in a media landscape in perpetual evolution.
