They may have significant consequences on people or public or private organizations. When it comes to scams, the purpose of these false accounts is to extract money from the victim. For example, with the technique of "phishing", the potential victim receives a private message from an account with which he never interests before.

This account encourages him to click on a link redirecting him to a fraudulent site. The goal is to recover your data such as its connection identifiers to hack your account. Sometimes these are false proposals for collaboration, false competitions or advantageous false offers. The crooks make the victims believe that they earn a gift or another advantage in order to obtain their personal data or their banking data.

When it comes to cyberbullying or cyberbullying, these false accounts, thinking of anonymity, send countless insulting or hateful messages to the victim. They can usurp his identity in order to harm his reputation by creating rumors online about him, etc. Bots are automated accounts generated by an algorithm, which are therefore not managed by a real person.
They often serve to increase the size of an audience in order to make believe that the content is attractive by commenting or interacting excessively. They also make it possible to inflate the number of subscribers to suggest that these people have notoriousness. These bots can thus give a lot of visibility to fake news.
The trolls are unlike real people. When used for political purposes, they aim to attack a politician or increase the popularity of another candidate. They can influence debates, feed animosity or convey false information.
